Blake Underhill
President and Co-Founder
Prior to starting IS&R, Blake had been working in the construction industry for 20 years, earning his degree in Construction Management from Clark University. After working in the industry for years, he recognized the need to have safety and rescue services available on-site, and IS&R was founded. Blake currently manages all financial, legal, and contract matters for IS&R.

- OSHA 500 Outreach Construction Trainer
- CMC Rope Rescue Technician I&II
- SPRAT Rope Access Technician 1
- Confined Space Rescue
- NIOSH Pulmonary Function (Spirometry) and Respirator Issues Protocol

George L. Simmons IV, CSHO
Operations Manager and Co-Founder
George began his career in safety in 2002 when he joined a local tech rescue team. Realizing he had an interest and an eye for safety, he became a Certified Safety and Health Official and helped Blake start IS&R in 2012 to provide the safest possible work environments to companies. Using his degree in Business Administration from Massasoit Community College, George oversees the daily operations of IS&R, maintains customer relationships, and builds up IS&R’s infrastructure.
